Job Description: Sales Head (GOAMILES)

Introduction: GOAMILES, www.goamiles.com, a leading provider of app-based taxi services in Goa, has garnered substantial acclaim for its affordability & convenience, in particular among tourists. With an aim to further solidify its position in the market and expand its reach, GOAMILES is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Head to oversee multiple sales verticals, including Hospitality, Cab Supply & Tele-marketing.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (KRA):

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Provide strategic direction & leadership to the sales team across all verticals, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Market Penetration: Oversee the penetration of GOAMILES’ services into the hospitality sector, transportation industry with broader market through effective sales initiatives & partnerships. Leverage industry knowledge and insights to identify & capitalize on growth opportunities
  • Sales Target Achievement: Set ambitious yet achievable sales targets for each vertical and the overall sales team. Develop action plans & initiatives to ensure consistent attainment of targets, monitoring performance closely and taking corrective actions as necessary
  • Team Management with Development: Lead, mentor, manage a diverse sales team comprising sales managers from various verticals as well as tele-marketing professionals. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration continuous learning, providing guidance & support to enhance team performance & skills
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including marketing, operations, product development, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives. Provide insights and feedback to inform product enhancements and service improvements
  • Financial Acumen: Utilize strong analytical skills to analyze sales data, forecast revenue projections, and optimize pricing strategies across all sales verticals. Ensure effective resource allocation and cost management to maximize profitability
  • Recruitment and Team Building: Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing sales team capable of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Continuously assess team dynamics with skills gaps, implementing training & development programs as needed
  • Performance Management: Implement performance metrics and KPIs to track the performance of individual team members and the overall sales team. Provide regular feedback, coaching, performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement to accountability
  • Perks and Incentives: Design and implement a competitive salary package with uncapped incentives, rewarding exceptional performance across all sales verticals. Ensure compliance with all standard company perks and HR policies

 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduation in Business Administration – Sales & Marketing, or a related field
  • 8-12 years of progressive experience in sales, with a proven track record of leadership & success in driving revenue growth and market expansion
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading & developing high-performing sales teams
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving with decision-making abilities, with a results-oriented mindset & a focus on driving business outcomes
  • Exceptional communication with interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prior experience in the transportation, hospitality, or related industries is highly preferred
  • Must be willing to work 6 days a week in Goa, with occasional travel as required
